Hello folks, Just to follow up on this thread, here's how it played out: -- I gave up on EFI, and use just BIOS boot -- each drive has three partitions: a space for grub-install, am mdadm md0 /boot and a btrfs raid1c3 root partition -- grub-install on each dev manually, and I probably need an apt

I purchased a 2021 Dell Latitude 5420 i7 with 16GB from a refurbisher. It runs Windows 10 Pro well as far as I can see, but I want to install Debian since I've preferred it for nearly 20 years. There is a BIOS admin password set, so I cannot change the boot device and install from a USB stick.
