Hi Frank,
First of all, I do apologize for posting on amd64 list, I was not sure about
the scope of these two groups. Thank you for clarify.

Given the number of things that depend on
there are Linux drivers available. As long as you can write CIFS, NFS or
http mount points you should be fine. The HP boxes are no longer supported
so you might want to look at a newer machine like the powerfile A3 or Hybrid
Storage appliance.

I have debian installed onto a 4gb usb stick (my laptops HD crashed and i'm
using this as a temporary solution till i get it fixed). All works great.
The only issue is that periodically, the whole system will freeze for 1-3
seconds and then come back. It doesn't matter if I'm just doing some CLI

Hi,
[Don't cross post. I am dropping debian-amd64, since the issue isn't
related to amd64]

I'm not sure what file I need to mess with . Now when I
reboot, /etc/resolv.conf is empty, and my default route doesn't work, so I
manually add:
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220
nameserver 192.168.1.254
to resolv.conf & ifdown/up eth0 to get my network connection back.

Hi debian user(s)!
Are there web shops in debian? I couldn't find any. Did I miss them, or
can you recommend any? Outside of debian I found minivend.
Thanks, Bernhard
