This is sort of depressing. Everytime I play Kbounce my KDE session ends up
crashing when I lose a round.
I am using a stock Debian Etch system. Via google, I found other people have a
similar issue of Kbounce itself crashing at the end of a game, but in my case
my whole session is taken down.

Hi,
Problems with internet connection. Neither browsers nor apt cannot access
internet right after booting up to X. After booting up there's two
pppd-processes, which need to be killed, and then only after running

internet connection works.

If You're loged in as root and it start ok, try to make a 'su' to the user
that openvpn runs and see what happens.

Hello,
Is it possible to encrypt my wireless keyboard communication? I have
a Logitech EX110. The included Windows software has this feature, but
of course no linux drivers.
Thanks.

Folk,
Seems that the default configuration for USB storage in
this system is rwx for root and r__ for users. Can a trivial
setting in /etc/udev/udev.conf or elsewhere give users rwx?
Numerous earlier messages discuss this problem but refer
to earlier releases and kernels.

or perhaps in your case

At this moment no nvidia-glx for new xorg 1:7.3+2 and no prorpietary nvidia
driver.
The problem is: no free nv driver too?
"aptitude dist-upgrade" will remove xserver-xorg-video-nv. Remove package
I see that Gnome 2.20 was just released. Im running Debian Etch, which still

What are the plans for integrating more up-to-date versions of Gnome into Etch,
or into later versions of Debian? I d

Greetings,
I've just finished installing Debian etch, and until I installed
compiz the only problem I had was the crappy font rendering in
Iceweasel (which was already solved by disabling its using pango).
That is, until I decided to install Compiz.

Hi, everyone,
I recently install amarok (on amd64), using the xine engine, but it
refuses to play any mp3 files. After some searching, I also installed
libxine1-ffmpeg, and have w32 codecs installed, but it still won't play
mp3s. I tried dpkg-reconfigure and purging and reinstalling amarok
