I have a APC Cyberfort 500 USB UPS managed with apcupsd.
Initially I had no communication at all with the UPS. Installing the
hotplug package fixes this _however_ apcupsd still does not start

There is no web interface. In fact, the firmware is uploaded every
time I connect the modem to the usb port.

Thanks again for your response. Any other suggestions? Our only current
option remaining is to attempt to return the server and find another with

Listen, first, in order to be sure that you use sarge, just write
"sarge" instead
of using "stable" or "testing".
Second, I think that sarge is stable , therefore you also can write
"stable" and
*NOT* "testing".
