I wrote to the list a couple months ago about my ThinkPad T22 freezing up from time to time. It seeems to be solved now. The solution was to add the line Option âShadowStatusâ to Screen section of my XF86Config-4; apparently this fixes a bug in the S3 driver that causes freezing during scrolling.
