I just did a dist-upgrade on my sarge installation and for some reason it tried to re-install my kernel image. I'm using kernel-image-2.6.8-1-k7. Now I get a kernel panic. I then discovered thru google that there is a criticle bug in sarge. I booted to an old debian cd hoping to use it as a rescue CD but that didn't work: it can't mount any of my partitions from my 80GB drive. So, I am now waiting for a sarge CD image of disk one to download hoping that the newer kernel will detect the drive. That is my plan, but if anyone knows of any reasin why this shouldn't work please let me know.. If anyone has any new information about the status of the criticle bug in sarge please post.
If this is the wrong list to be post this to let me know and I do appologize. Please cc me on any replys. Thanks Jim __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
