apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
and walk away while apt gets you a totally new system. I don't know of any
other distro or os that can do that.

Hi!
I´m on a rather slow machine, a Pentium running at 50 MHz. This is just
fine for working, and should be reasonably fast for playing mp3´s.
With mpg123 (stable) CPU-usage is ~ 70 %, but I get random clicks and
other nasty distortions. Ok, renice mpg123 to -3, so it should be

No problems here. If you already have a woody system, you don't
need apt-get dist-upgrade. Just apt-get upgrade.

How can I create a mailbox alias for mutt?
To get to my debian-user mailbox I have to type "c=de" and I'm
too lazy for that. (But not too lazy to look for the answer...I just can't

I'm trying to use TeX in a script. Problem I've got is convincing TeX
to put its output where I want it to.
Anyone got a hint for forcing TeX to create an output DVI file with a
specified name?
Cheers.

would have problems if /tmp weren't big enough? Say, for example, I was
downloading a 600MB ISO image. Wouldn't /tmp have to be at least that
big for the download to

Hmm... I was wondering why development had seemed to have stopped... I
wasn't aware of the new webpage. I've been tracking CVS but having issues
with building it... now that I'm aware of 0.1.61 I'll update the packages.
BTW, please wrap lines at under 80 characters (74 is a good place)...
