I want to make a .deb package. In order to to that I try simply
to see if I can remake an existing one. I took the hello package
and I did 'dpkg -i hello_1.3-16.deb test/'. Then I went in the

I found some info that suggested using mkfontdir on all of the font
directories. I did that, and I noticed 'fixed' was in the misc
directory.

but if you have DSL... get your nic working so you have some speed...

since I upgraded libc6 to its newest version, a lot of binaries stopped to
work. It's not a problem for solid-pop3d or exim, which I simply upgraded
to their newest version, but it is a problem with mcafee uvscan and sophos
antivir, because I have the newest version of them and still don't

dpkg -i libdb3_3.2.9-11_i386.deb
{errors}
dpkg -i libdb3++-dev_3.29-11_i386.deb
{needs libdb3_3.2.9-11_i386.deb installed, so i figure out how to do that:}
dpkg -i --auto-deconfigure libdb3_3.3.9-11_i386.deb
{works fine}
dpkg -i libdb3++-dev_3.29-11_i386.deb
{works}
