Okay, that's scary. I just killed xdm, started gpm with my old gpm.conf to make sure it still didn't work, and it did work! So, I restarted xdm, and my mouse is working fine in both, with the repeating. Hmmm. (-: I wonder what changed - I didn't touch it... -- Mark
