$HOME/Mailbox ?
$HOME/Maildir ?

Make sure nothing is trying irq 7 and then give it a shot. Double check
to see if the sblive is NOT trying to use 0x300 for it's midi port.
Does the ne need to be isapnp enabled or is it a jumpered card?

Assuming that you really need to upgrade to a source package instead of
waiting for the deb package and assuming you installed the compiled
binaries in /usr/local instead of /usr you should be able to use the
same config files, assuming that they take the same options between
versions. Make sure t
I had this problem as well. Just apt-get install diald/stable that
should fix it. The package maintainer knows about this bug and it's
been dormant forever as last I checked.

it sounds like everything is working for you if you just use the
hardware workarounds you've found. I've had ethernet cards that just
would not work with cable modems before too, you solved that prob.

I found the means to shut this crap off on their privacy policy page. I
have blocked further mail from this wacky service to debian-user. I do
hope nobody minds. 8^)

Check your /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc
There is a line that says -dpi 100
I would assume that changing that to 75 would fix things the way you
want them.

I built a website once using php-apache-mysql. Worked great. I used
dselect to actually select which ones I wanted and that allows you some
choice and the ability to browse and check out your dependencies. You
may want to give that a shot.

Make sure that lba32 option is not in your lilo.conf file and replace it
with linear if it is. That gotcha got me a while ago, I had to boot
from a bootdisk until I figured it out as well. I always run lilo -l
now to make sure it's setting things up as a linear address.

Download the source for numlockx from freshmeat. Build, install, and
call it from one of the scripts that runs when you start X.
