Do some reading on the Debian web site, they explain
it fairly well. 2.2r2 is the Version called Potato,
and 2.2r3 is the updated Potato. Woody is the next
version on the Table but is considered stable, but not

Assuming you have the telnetd package installed, the telnet server can
be enabled/disabled using the 'update-inetd' command. For example:
update-inetd --enable telnet
update-inetd --disable telnet
