Hey all,
I am trying to figure out a way to install Debian woody on my computer
that currently runs Redhat 7.0.9 (fisher). The problem with installing
woody clean is that I would be installing to a ATA-100 controller, and

Also I can't quit X. I hit ctrl+alt+backspace and it quits and brings me to

It's like X just keeps trying to restart itself.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem which was solved by turning off "Plug and Play OS

If the source is compatible with older libraries, you should be able
to build a deb with minimal effort. I have done this for several
programs, but it won't work where the source code is only compatible
with the new libraries. You will have to have the appropriate -dev
