by dselect as far as I can tell), but anyhow, just start dselect on any
virtual console you like (by typing dselect as root on the shell), you'll
get a menu, the first will be access, you've already mounted your cd so

I'm trying to sutostart mySQL at boot up on my Corel Linux machine. I have put
the mysql.server script in /etc/init.d and I have aput a symbolic link to it in
/etc/rc3.d name S90mysql but it doesn't run on boot. I can start it by typeing
/etc/rc3.d/S90mysql start no problem.

On Potato, I've downloaded and tried to install the (slink) deb package
of mail client Mahogany, which apparently has a dependency on
libstdc++2.9. "libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1" is in the listings in dselect --
but dselect/dpkg/apt don't see this as the correct item.

I would like to move forward with exploring a Linux
system using a Compaq LTE 5300 laptop. The method by which I can load the
kernel/OS is limited to diskette. What would be the best way way to proceed from
