It depends on what you call `view'. Our secretary sometimes insists on
sending lecture programs in powerpoint files per email (yuck, bleah),
and all that matters is the text.

$ crontab -e
allows a user to create/edit their own crontab.

Hi, another question for anyone out there who might know where I can get an
answer. I am using potato, and have built and installed qmail here on my
machine. My problem is that whenever a package requires a mail support (ie:
sendmail, exim etc.) I run into problems. Is there a way for me to set
at least linux doesn´t use the bios´ detections, so you can use the whole
harddisk with it, just remember that the partition you want to boot from
has to be within the first 1024 cylinders, so you may want to partition

Hi,
I have installed gimp-nonfree, but when I save an image, the gif
extensions is still disabled. Am I missing anything?
Also, could someone tell me how to save an image with
transparent background? It would be great if I can use png and avoid
using

i had a machine recently stop detecting disk drives alltogether, but
still! the kernel still was able to detect and
were you ssh'd into shell.schwa.net when that message showed up? if you
were it was your machine that was connected to the remote X server not the
other way around.
if you are using ssh 1 i suggest using the argument -v to give verbose
information when connecting to a machine(i use ssh -l -v -C
i wouldnt reccomend it. the drive layout would be slightly different i
beleive, and it would be risky to try it. if given that choice i wouldn't
use it before the flash or, if i did not store any important data on it.

Hi, I am currently using Potato and can't seem to get my 10key working with or
without the numlock activated. I have not made any customizations to the X11
setup files which the package manager configures. I am using the SVGA X
server.
Any help or pointers to get my numpad working again would be
