recent xterms. You just have to enable it with command line options /
X resources, and to use am ISO-10646 font. "Unifont" from the Debian
distribution for some reason does not really work, but I got myself

Well, the problem occured after yesterday's potato update and went away
after today's update (whew!). I can't find anything in the changelog
which would explain it. Oh well, that's why it's called "unstable".

Same problem here. On the first dselect screen I had "by default" PERL 5.004
marked for upgrade and 5.005 NOT marked for install. I accepted this as I was
wary of upgrading it to v 5.005. However, OK'ing this
sreen threw me in the dreaded "conflict' screen where I had PERL 5.005

In the man page, this is mentioned but no examples are given, so all I know is
that the word "restricted" goes someplace in lilo.conf and then
password= but should I then chmod 600 lilo.conf? If not, the
password will just be there for all to see.

First, you need the bzip2 package installed. If it's not installed, you
can install it this way:

As one told me it is indeed a flaw in older versions of pppd,
dealt with in later versions with an extra flag 'hide-password'.
To circumvent it with older versions you simply have to edit
