Hi
I'm experienced with Solaris and NextStep/Openstep -- I've even installed
OpenStep from scratch on several machines. I have the official silk-screened
2.1 CD's. My system is pretty standard, with the exception of having SCSI
rather than IDE. Now I've decided to check out Linux.

I made the two following aliases in the .bashrc in my home directory
alias mcd='mount /dev/hdb /cdrom'
alias ucd='umount /cdrom'
They work fine, but I also want to immediately jump to /cdrom when I mount a CD. Thus I ammended the mcd alias to read...
alias mcd='mount /dev/hdb /cdrom|cd /cdro
I have some old ethernet cards (EZ-3200P+ series, which are supposed to be
NE2000 compatible) and the disk with it has a Unix driver, but specifically
an SCO one. What does SCO stand for and might the driver be compatible with
Linux?

MCA IS supported by the kernel. I recently built a 2.2.x version with MCA
support for a PS/2 386 which I have. You may however have to enable
developmental options in the c/menu/x config menus though.
Dunno about 2.0.x kernels.

This solved the problem.

First I tried XF86Setup, but could not get past the mouse config. I
have a Microsoft PS2 mouse with wheel, so checked off PS2 and /dev/psaux
(as suggested in the Control-Escape website). This didn't work, and I
couldn't get past this point in XF86Setup, so I tried xf86config.

When I first installed Debian, I entered incorrect information
for the IP addresses of the network. I need to correct
the information now. Is there a utility to do this similar
to the setup program? I've tried modifying the configuration files
by hand, but it does not seem to work right so that
