perl-base pre-depends on libdl1, which doesn't seem to be defined anywhere
(none of the lib* packages look like they provide it).
Dselect doesn't complain about this, but dpkg says it can't satisfy libdl1
and aborts the upgrade.

Well, unfortunately, I'm not really executing xplaycd in the
script. The "&" and ";" work fine on SunOS, Solaris, HP/UX
and Ahmdahl bourne-shells. It also works under ash. I'm tempted
to just install ash as the default shell, but I would like to run
