I install Tex and Latex with Debian-1.1.
I could to Tex but I could not do Latex. When doing Latex,
I got a message like:
This is Tex, Version 3.1415 (C version 6.1)
I can't find the default format file!
I saw a similar note on the net regarding the same problem.
Is it a bug and how to fix it?
I have a ps/2 bus mouse and Debian-1.1. It seems that /dev/mouse
cannot be found. I tried it with gpm -t ps2 -R. Do i need to
recompile the kernel with ps2 mouse support? I would think this
should be included with the distribution. Any thought? Thanks.

Pine (and I believe Netscape) are in the non-free section. Unless you have
downloaded this section from one of the mirrors, it is not likely to be on
any CDs. Plus, with netscape, you will only get an installation

Dear Debian Users,
Recently I installed de Taylor UUCP package and configured it for a friend
of mine. It turns out that this package expects 'rmail' to be in the /bin
directory, while the installed Sendmail installed its rmail in /usr/bin. A
simple symbolic link fixed things, but this doesn't see

as a consequence the httpd server cannot read any of the

This is sort of my fault, sorry. I designed the new
system.fvwm2rc and install-fvwm2menu. I'm not sure
Hi All,
I just like to know why when I installed package with
"..registers itself via install-fvwm2menu", it deleted my old
main-menu.hook and menudefs.hook. I like the ones I had. Has any
one else have this problem? I think this should be optional.
When dpkg installs new setup files it should
