I confirm this as described. Amarok using phonon-backend-xine,
was working well prior to the recent KDE 4.4.3 update from
4.4.2. Did the phonon-backend-xine update with KDE 4.4.3 or Amarok?
I am now forced to use phonon-backend-gstreamer which works
well with pulseaudio

Sid has broken the toys again and taken on KDE 4.2.2. As KDE 4 has
[temporarily?] abandoned its own Kprinter, they now incestuously use
their patron's QPrinter which does not have a even/odd s
The current default directory for kdm sessions desktop files is
/usr/share/apps/kdm/sessions. There were 45 files there on my sid system
with KDE 3.2.2. It appears kdm does a great job of sorting out which of
these is actually installed, then throws the right ones up for me to choose
