The behaviour has changed in KDE 3.5, and is much more annoying. KDE
logout + login restores the right virtual desktop even if I have Kate
running. However, it seems that the Kate window is restored on the
wrong virtual desktop.

Deleting ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator "solves" the problem.
Akregator should definitely not crash when faced with data from previous
versions.

I suspect someone would have noticed by now if the latest kdelibs were
simply hosing their entire desktop; there must be something else going on
here.

unusable, after that upgrade almost no KDE application works (Ksnapshot
