the new option to make the panel transparent is really neat. Mucho eye

Ok, after a bit more investigation, I finally conclude that it's a problem from
courier-imap.
Indeed, I said thunderbird and mutt didn't have the problem, but in fact, they
just doesn't report the problem.
They have the problem like kmail, but without displaying any error message.

when browsing local filesystems and moving the mouse over mp3 files with
heberw id3 tag, the id3 tag is written with boxes inside the popup box,
like the locale is incorrect.
Im working with UTF-8, but I also tried it with ISO8859-8

after testing it I found that changing the transperancy settings in the
'effects' dialog box under 'style' in the control panel to 'xrender'
fixes the problem.
