I set the account in kmail. It works nearly properly except that I very often get disconnected with a message like this one (I translated it from french) : "The connection with <imapd host> was shut down". When I say "often", I mean every about 5 secondes ... I tested with mutt, and I get no problem, so I think it's a problem with kmail. I get no more message with kmail (so I don't know what is the problem exactly). In courier-imapd log, it just says that I was disconnected without more information. I use kmail on my main computer with debian sid up-to-date installed. I use courier-imap on my gateway with debian sid up-to-date installed. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ignored: LC_ALL set to = [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages kmail depends on: ii kdebase-kio-plugins 4:3.2.2-1 KDE I/O Slaves ii kdelibs4 4:3.2.3-2 KDE core libraries ii ktnef 4:3.2.2-2 KDE TNEF viewer ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.16-5 Library of functions for 2D = graphi ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared librar= ies an ii libfam0c102 2.7.0-5 client library to control th= e FAM ii libgcc1 1:3.4.0-2 GCC support library ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 Inter-Client Exchange librar= y ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's= JPEG ii libkcal2 4:3.2.2-2 KDE calendaring library ii libkdenetwork2 4:3.2.2-2 KDE Network library ii libkdepim1 4:3.2.2-2 KDE PIM library ii libksieve0 4:3.2.2-2 KDE mail/news message filter= ing li ii libmimelib1 4:3.2.2-2 KDE mime library ii libpcre3 4.5-1.1 Perl 5 Compatible Regular Ex= pressi ii libpng12-0 1.2.5.0-6 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3c102-mt 3:3.2.3-3 Qt GUI Library (Threaded run= time v ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System Session Mana= gement ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.4-2 The GNU Standard C++ Library= v3 ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System protocol cli= ent li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System miscellaneou= s exte ii libxrender1 0.8.3-7 X Rendering Extension client= libra ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System client libra= ries m ii zlib1g 1:1.2.1.1-3 compression library - runtim= e -- no debconf information Plus simple, plus fiable, plus rapide : d=E9couvrez le nouveau Caramail -= http://www.caramail.lycos.fr --=_NextPart_Lycos_0249731088443816_ID-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 256717-done) by bugs.debian.org; 30 Jun 2004 14:48:33 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 30 07:48:33 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from tomts5.bellnexxia.net (tomts5-srv.bellnexxia.net) [209.226.175.25] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BfgO0-0002D9-00; Wed, 30 Jun 2004 07:48:32 -0700 Received: from hse-sherbrooke-ppp121494.qc.sympatico.ca ([64.231.193.27]) by tomts5-srv.bellnexxia.net (InterMail vM.5.01.06.10 201-253-122-130-110-20040306) with ESMTP id <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 30 Jun 2004 10:48:31 -0400 From: Christopher Martin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: Christopher Martin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "udok paldoswitz " <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#256717: Very often disconnected from courier-imap server Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2004 10:48:31 -0400 User-Agent: KMail/1.6.2 References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.5 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_30,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Hello, Thanks for letting us know.
