Hi Chris,
I have been negotiating with Kay Ramme of Sun about removing all
proprietary sun* java code from OpenOffice.org, and requiring only
open source java classes with JDK 1.3.1 (or earlier) level features
for all new java projects accepted into in OOo.
In return, I am hoping we can wo

Also, have you moved to a shared altlinuxhyph as well? As far as
Hi,
I tested DicOOo on my ppc linux build and it worked just fine. Is this
the upstream OOo binary (mine) or the Debian binary?
If Debian, then I think they have moved the dictionaries and things and
you should install dictioanries using the deb package manager and not
DicOOo.

Is that issue still the holdup for Debian ppc binaries?

Issue 7194 does not seem to be related to XWindow vs X Window?
Is there another number we should be looking for here?

Hi,
I was able to ssh in to my home machine so this issue is now fixed and

Hi,
I believe idlc used to segfault or abort when the DISPLAY variable was
unset.
You might try setting DISPLAY in your chrooted environment and see if
that helps.
This is a wag (I thought the DISPLAY issue was already fixed).

Hi,
I'm trying to build OOo with gcc-3.0 on Intel.
Whoops missed the "intel" part of that. Sorry about that.

Hi,
Actually you can technically use gcc 2.95.X and later with OOo
under PPC Linux but I build with gcc 3.1.1 or later due to bug fixes
and things that are needed.
I do not recommend building with gcc 3.0.X under PPC Linux at all.
But the bridge code and things still exist if someone wants to t
