Hi,
If I do a clean install of openoffice.org-writer2latex, I get an error
message from dpkg --compare-versions that I don't get if I install it
over an already installed package.

is inverse.
STAR_PROFILE_LOCKING_DISABLED=1 should also be set when homedir on remote fs.
though i can't be sure, i still feel some locks
