I have started to use Emacs from the recently created emacs-30 branch,
and noticed that in debian-changelog-mode buffers font-lock-mode is nil
(M-x font-lock mode fixes that for the current buffer). In the Emacs 30
NEWS file I found the

Bug #833169 [dpkg-dev-el] dpkg-dev-el: debian/NEWS is loaded in
debian-changelog-mode, which encourages lintian debian-news-entry-uses-asterisk
complaints

Hi,
I just noticed that (current) Debian bug report numbers are also valid
hex color codes like the hex color codes used in HTML:
# apt-get install dpkg-dev-el elpa-rainbow-mode
# exit
$ apt-get source aptitude
$ emacs aptitude*/debian/changelog
M-x rainbow-mode
:-)

I have a slight preference for dpkg-dev-emacs

Whatever its name, the package is ready. The only point my sponsor
wants to be settled down is the name of the package, precisely.
My original idea was dpkg-dev-emacs. debian-changelog-mode seems
too restrictive to me: when (if?) someone writes a
debian-controlfile-mode someday, it can be
