My mistake, appears that it does run with Java 21, at least some of the time.
Closing.
Package: puppetserver
Version: 8.4.0-7
Severity: grave
Dear Maintainer,
The puppetserver appears not to work with any Java version.
The upstream supported versions are JDK 11 and 17, however I have tested
11, 17, and 21.
It appears that the code may have been compiled with target level 21,
but
conf from
nntp stream tcp [...]
to
nntp stream tcp4 [...]
and restating openbsd-inetd solves the problem.
Best regards
Marcus

bug but it went away after I set
GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID _and_ upgraded to 1.96+20080621-1. Unfortunately I

I got an unbootable system with this version too. Grub failed to locate
the kernel. I use dm-crypt encrypted root over LVM. Had to boot from a
rescue CD and enable GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID.

umbrello keeps crashing in interesting ways. The crashes seem to
happen in the Qt libs so it's possibly a Qt problem.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start with a clean config by removing .kde4/share/config/umbrellorc.
2. Launch umbrello.

I am using a full-blown KDE4 from experimental and still get this bug.
So it looks like an ABI incompatibility.

~$ cat /boot/grub/device.map
(hd0) /dev/hda
But the device name changed to /dev/sda a long time ago, when I switched to
the new SATA drivers. Correcting the device.map fixes the problem. Appar

Because I was busy. Anyway, I think we can agree that the correct action
for duplicate reports is to merge, not to close.

I'm closing this bug since this package is not meant to go to a stable release
That is interesting. I am not aware that maintainers can opt out of the
regular bug handling tasks.

Sorry, should have discussed it first. I confirmed the bug on that
version too, and I get it on every second call or so. Since others seem
