I do not have any Voodoo video hardware but installed all Xorg drivers on three
different systems. On all of them "Xorg -configure" leaves the system in

Sorry for the following misunderstanding: I did not upgrade fglrx-driver but
only upgrade my installation from lenny to squeeze.
Meanwhile, I have now completely switched to the testing distribution and I do
not have fglrx-driver installed.
