Hello,
I'm now experiencing this abort as well. I attached gdb, but without debug
symbols for bmon the output wasn't terribly useful. Stack trace and system
info are below. Please let me know if I can do anything to help test.

I can confirm that this bug still exists as of today. Just finished a netinst
using Debian testing and found eth0 and eth1 switching places after reboots.
Brian's generator.rules fix above worked perfectly. Interfaces on the machine
are:
