Kindly go ahead with the NMU I will do uploads for future releases but
am limited at present by the availability of a sid box. Though
I could use pbuilder, I hope to have a sid box in the near future.

This bug was because the cursor line "Cursor 28-31" in
/etc/textconfig was commented out. For some reason this
did not seem to make a difference with 2.4 kernels but
