Package: netpbm Version: 2:10.0-8 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
pstopnm is not able to extract pnm images of a level 2 or level 3 postscript file. The man page mentions that this problem may occur for a level 1 file, however the problem seems to be more general. This problem is specific to the netpbm package that is shipped as part of debian as it does not occur on the latest fedora version of pstopnm. Here is the link to the level 2 postscript file I was trying to extract pnm pages from : http://www.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~somberg/co/ag/ag.ps I even tried converting this to level 3 using ps2ps but that did not help much. b thomas -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages netpbm depends on: ii bc 1.06-15 The GNU bc arbitrary precision cal ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libjpeg62 6b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libnetpbm10 2:10.0-8 Shared libraries for netpbm ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libtiff4 3.7.2-3 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
