I am looking into this a bit.. it might be something to do with libtool
and/or autoreconf.
The relinking in pcretest (from .libs/pcretest to .libs/lt-pcretest)
seems to create the condition for the failure.

Maybe there is no useable local backend, but this package is very
usefull for the remote driver. So I think this is not a "grave" bug but
a "normal" bug. You could even see it as a "wishlist" bug, because what
you want is support for Iceweasel.
