In case of recursive unit dependencies, FPC sometimes wants to recompile the units even though nothing changed. See e.g. http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=12223 . Possibly this is the reason of problems mentioned here. As Castle Game Engine sources are not available anymore (only the compiled
