Do you (or anyone else) know how can I test if patch fixes the issue
without having to go through an FTP master? Something like launching
"test builds"?

I've been looking at the build log of powerpc[0] and it is not fixed the
error message is the same. Sparc, s390 complains about "impossible
register constraint" and mips does not understand "cpuid". It built only
on amd64.
