The ghostscript people in

Somehow the hurd stuff got accidently left out of the version of the
patch I posted. A revised version is attatched (still not actually
tested on hurd because I don't currently have a usable debian hurd system).

I also encountered this bug after upgrading the kernel today.
A quick workaround was to
* boot using a grml64 CD
* mount the /, /usr and /var partions
* chroot to the partions
* execute "lilo -v"
* reboot
I now wonder if the system is permanently "fixed" or if it might randomly
hang
I can confirm that dpkg-reconfigure creates proper config.php file
which doesn't show this error anymore.

I've prepared an NMU for snowballz (versioned as 0.9.5.1-2.1) and
uploaded it to DELAYED/2.
I've reuploaded since Jakub alert me the patch was mixing tabs and spaces (of
course my error I didn't notices, but thanks Ubuntu for valuable patches..).

The initramfs hook does check for an empty level and fetches it
directly from the device, if the config file does not have it:
