All data that seems to need replacment is now collected. I'm waiting
on a clarification of one of the artists but this is trivial (but not so
well looking) to replace. Work is still needed to clear up

If you get the blank, black screen, and you switch to another console and
restart KDM/GDM, all compiz.real processes get killed EXEPT the one from the
user belonging to group "video". You can still kill the process manually, or
you can provoke another blank screen in the descri
