Hi,
The problem is not really the symlink, as the web apps policy states that
packages *should* do that. The real problem is that reinstallation of the

Hi!
I have just opened two bugs against libsmi-common and libsnmp-base:
http://bugs.debian.org/498476
http://bugs.debian.org/498475
Those packages ship MIB files that are non-free (same license as IETF
RFC). However, there is no quick fix: removing those files make the
packages unusable
Package: libsmi2-common
Version: 0.4.7+dfsg-0.1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.1
Hi!
libsmi2-common contains a lot of MIB licensed under a restrictive
license. I did not look at all of them but most of those under ietf
directory are licensed in the same manner as the corresponding RFC.

Most Probably not. However I currently suspect this bug to be a
duplicate Bug #498397. In that case, we would indeed have RC bug that

Hi Seb,
Perhaps I'm wrong, but to my knowledge and following the man page of
File::Temp, the function to use in order to create a temporary folder is
"tempdir" and not "mktempdir" (line 65 in your debdiff file).
Cheers,
