bind9utils (no /usr/sbin/rndc program)
has caused the Debian Bug report #486197,
regarding bind9 in testing is missing a dependency
Package: chasen
Severity: serious
Version: 2.3.3-6.3
Hi,
thanks for maintaining chasen.
Your debian/copyright is lacking in the following ways:
- You need to mention and reproduce the (BSD-style) license for
most of the stuff (pointing to common-licenses does not work for
things copyrighted
Package: bind9
Version: 1:9.4.2-10
Severity: grave
Tags: patch
Justification: renders package unusable
Current testing version of bind9 uses /usr/sbin/rndc in its
/etc/init.d/bind9 script but this program is provided by bind9utils
and bind9 does not depend on it.
Note: this bug has already be cor
Package: bind9
Version: 1:9.5.0.dfsg-1
Severity: serious
Tags: patch
Justification: breaks etch upgrade
Both etch version of dnsutils and sid bind9 provide
/usr/share/man/man1/idnconv.1.gz.
This breaks etch upgrade (see the script below)
To fix this, you just need to add in bind9 binary package:
Package: bind9utils
Version: 1:9.5.0.dfsg-1
Severity: grave
Hi,
bind9utils is missing a dependency on libbind9-40:

This seems to be the cause, but not sure what it means.

Yesterday, a binNMU on VLC came in, saying in it's changelog:
* Rebuild against latest ffmpeg. (Closes: #483052)
But it's still not working for me:
% vlc xvid.avi
