Finally, with the help of Olaf Arnold (member of upstream team for
yafaray exporter), I got to a solution for the issue and pushed the
"really working" version to the git repository.
Now I'm waiting for my sponsor to upload the stuff to the official archives

Sorry for the mess!
After little investigation, it seems like this issue is not related to
blender but to few python scripts in the upstream code of the exporter.
So I'm reas

It's a known issue... I had to wait for blender 2.59-1 to enter sid
distribution to discover that ;-(
