I need to know to help upstream to figure out the issue. Thanks. As far as I can tell, the version packaged is the official 2.59 that you imported in the git repo and official 'ahoy' announce r39307. There maybe difference between svn branch and tar.gz so you maybe have to diff the svn and debian git. I will investigate as soon I get back to my computer. cheers ;-)
