that can not be the case.
I updated to the "experimental" distribution video driver (and X server), which
does not even start up without Shadow "true".
with Shadow "true" I had no freezes whatsoever using "experiment

right, it`s not i810 but a chipset that previously used the i810 driver (on
lenny). t
