I upgraded to libsane and sane-utils 1.0.21-8 from unstable. I am still having the same problem first reported in this bug. Is there any debugging information I can give you that would be helpful? If I downgrade to libsane 1.0.20-14+b1 the scanner works. However, this breaks udev, so it isn'
