I upgraded to libsane and sane-utils 1.0.21-8 from unstable. I am still having the same problem first reported in this bug. Is there any debugging information I can give you that would be helpful?
If I downgrade to libsane 1.0.20-14+b1 the scanner works. However, this breaks udev, so it isn't a very usable workaround. I am running amd64. All other packages are up-to-date with testing. Soren -- Soren Stoutner so...@stoutner.com 623-262-6169
