Thank you very much for the help. Since I don't prefer Debian SID, I
will try newer nvidia driver around two weeks later. You will know the
result then.

1. please remove (better purge) all packages that have 2.6.32-trunk in
their *name* (the command 'dpkg -l *2.6.32-trunk*' should give you a
list). That "version" sorts badly (i.e. before more recent kernels) and
confuses many programs.
2. install the metapackages
