I solved the problem on my laptop by using the following commands:
apt-get remove network-manager
apt-get install network-manager-gnome

I kept receiving an automatic e-mail, saying that there was no package
information in the header, so I copied a header from a previous bug.
I forgot to edit it properly.
The bug only makes it impossible to use mobile broadband.
