I can confirm this bug here for 0.58-4+etch2.
In order to dig into the problem on my development system I tried to
setup a similar configuration on a Debian Lenny system. However I failed
with the Lenny packages (i.e. 0.61.0-1+lenny1).
As a safety-check I downgraded the packages courier-auth
Package: courier-authlib-mysql
Version: 0.58-4+etch2
The above mentioned security update seems to alter the SQL query used by
the courier auth daemon, making IMAP logins fail with:
