Hi, I can confirm this bug here for 0.58-4+etch2.
In order to dig into the problem on my development system I tried to setup a similar configuration on a Debian Lenny system. However I failed with the Lenny packages (i.e. 0.61.0-1+lenny1). As a safety-check I downgraded the packages courier-authlib, courier-authlib-mysql and courier-authdaemon to 0.58-4+etch2 and could reproduce the bug again. This means: I correctly reproduced the affected setup on my Lenny system, but the Lenny packages aren't affected. I guess it's a problem introduced by the Etch backport of the security fix.
