I've just installed
$ apt-show-versions audacious-plugins-extra
audacious-plugins-extra/unstable uptodate 2.1-1
and cue playing is working fine: it recognize the cue file (but it
also adds the .mp3 file, that's not happening with dirs with m3u and
mp3) but it's not freezing and all seems

When the cuesheet plugin is enabled and any directory with a .cue file
in it is loaded the .cue file itself is added to the playlist and
audacious completely freezes when it gets to that entry.
