I've just included your patch and uploaded gnuca
Hi Thomas,
thank you for your workaround.
I'm currently working on a proper fix based on the unstable upstream
release 2.3.8. See the experimental branch in the packaging gnucash
repository.

Hi,
Attached patch works around the libgoffice issue by disabling the graphing
support. This means it's possible to build gnucash, and run it, but there's no
support for reports with graphics like bar charts.
Due to the change in Makefile.am, it is necessary to do an autoreconf after
applying th

Unfortunately this isn't true any more as we have Gnucash 2.2.9 now.
I tried to change Gnucash to build-depend on libgoffice-0-8-dev

I shall do that for the future; I have no desire to irk any other
maintainers by having a repeat performance of this :-).

I had no intent to upload and no intent to have this change migrated
from sid to lenny, I posted the NMU as a convince to you to so you
won't have to make the changes yourself. In general, I felt that
providing a debdiff would make your life as a maintainer easier. I
apologize if this wasn't clear.
Three copies of a buggy patch are not necessary, especially for a
trivial bug report. It is necessary that you not upload without
speaking to me directly. I hope I've been clear.
