Um, this NMU is, I believe, inapproriate at this point in the release. Changing dependencies of working packages is not supposed to be done. Your bug was a perfectly good bug of NORMAL severity, and as such, should not have a NMU, and certainly should not have an upload of any kind during the freeze, unless you have previously gotten the approval of the release managers.
