Any mention of pciehp there (or in /etc/modules)? I think there should
be none.
What if you unload the module (rmmod) after bringing wifi down?

Sometimes - when you hit Fn+F2 to switch the wireless on - the
led blinks for a moment and then goes back to off.
I solved the problem adding a "sleep 1" after the modprobe command
in the /etc/acpi/actions/wireless.sh script:
